Our Reserves are back at home on today, as we welcome Hucknall Town Reserves to The Stag Ground.
Hucknall are yet to start there league campaign this season but we know they will be a strong and very competitive outfit. This fixture last season resulted in a draw with Hucknall winning 1-0 at their place. We expect another tight encounter on Saturday.
Last Saturday the Reserves ran out 4-2 winners against a young and very talented Clifton All Whites team. The visitors started quickly with their very attacking formation giving Kimberley a few problems early on, but it was the home team who took the lead on 22 minutes through an excellent finish from Lewis Deavin only to be pegged back just 4 minutes later. The rest of the first half was edged by Clifton but it remained all square going into the break.
Hucknall Reserves have not yet featured in the league this season and represent a relative unknown for the 2024-25 campaign.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The last time the two sides met was in December last year at Hucknall. A goal from Reece Gatland was enough to take the points for Hucknall on that occasion.
The fixture at Kimberley last season was at the start of September. After going in at half time goalless, Dylan Thornley opened the scoring for Kimberley, only for Josh Pearson to level the scores up for a 1-1 draw.
ONTO TODAY
With the first team being away at Holwell in the FA Vase, please come to support the reserves at the Stag if you're not travelling.
